I sit here with one eye on the TV (some strange film...) and the other eye on my home page. Checking the text under "Our dogs". Hoss is OK, Aragon is OK even though he he does not like other boys (except for his daddy), but Big Boss/Love... what have I done!?
Is he calm??? Is he cool??? Is his motto "Never get excited if not necessary"? "Love is a big, very happy and very calm little brother". Huh??? My God, why did I write that???? What have I done???
OK, he is very nice and very cool. BUT NOT AT SHOWS. Some of you may have seen and heard him. At shows he is mostly a savage, barking and jumping and trying to get to Bernie or to get out of the ring. He every now and then gets extremely excited in the ring. I suppose that is what's meant with "necessary"?
But luckily "The Show Love" is not the same as "The Love at home". At home he is like a big teddy bear, believe it or not. That sometimes uncontrolled white thing which dashes around the ring, making the handler (me) fall, is like a lamb at home. Or like a cat. Or a hamster. Or... he is a a wonderful family dog, loving his pack. Big, happy and calm/cool. It is just hard to remember that when he is fooling around with you in the ring. And that fooling around was what was kept in my mind when I read my own words. And then I thought "What have I written??" But giving it a second thought I remembered he is a lovely dog that I mostly love very much.
I am looking forward to the day when he has matured and behaves as he does at home when he is with me at shows. Love you, Love! Big kiss!
Kinka has been competing in Doha today. She had enough victories from the first round to be qualified to the tableau of 64. She is ranked 48 and will meet an Hungarian girl tomorrow.
At the home page of the competition 10 pics from todays fencing has been displayed. Nine of them are showing fencers from Quatar, the tenth shows my daughter in action... http://www.qatarfencing.org/2009/index.htm "gallery" "Individual event - Day 2" .
When Kinka got to know she was qualified for this competition I said I would arrange with a bhurka or a chador for her. That was half a joke and half serious. Now, the Swedish Federation has instructed the ladies to wear proper clothes and to cover arms and legs. I find that good, it is important to adopt to and pay respect to the culture you are visiting.
But looking at some of the pics that "joke" is not far away. Isn't the picture to the right with the four athletes and that woman in black absolutely fabulous!? That is what sport is all about, never mind where you come from or who you are, we are all equal!
Now I have made a mistake again, I wrote this in English. Just because I wrote the last part of the headline, the one in English, after the Swedish I just continued writing in English. Sorry folks, I will not translate this into Swedish this time either! And hold on Chrillan and the rest of you that complain when I write in English, this is good practise, hihi!
