The obedience was no good even though it wasn't too bad. Or perhaps it was? 139 p and a third prize. I made up my mind about two things, no more competeing for at least six months and private lessons with Anja, our nice and skilled instructor living in the next village.
Last Monday we spent an hour with Anja and got some very interesting reflections. Arwen is not motivated enough in the obedience, nor am I. I have to work very hard to get her interested in what's up. I am the one who is doing the job, not Arwen. And Arwen does not do it because she has so many other interesting things in life to do, such as taking care of the pack at home, looking after the horses and the hens, checking what has happened along the beach since yesterday, going with me to do things in Kalmar and so on. The recommendation was to bore her. She must come to me and ask for things to do. So that's what we have done now. She was very happy to be the one to come with me to Växjö after five days of doing NOTHING. And when we were preparing ourselves to get ready for our performance she jumped and was very motivated to do anything for me. I took off her leach and put it on the floor and she immediately took it in her mouth and gave it to me, "you dropped this, here you are". We will be back on track again after the puppies and then we are aiming for tracking. We have taken our first step for a better motivation.
About the puppies, no season yet...
More reports tonight about the new home page, Betty's mental description and Växjö
